Emergency Egress Stairwells, Mortise Lock

The Security Door Controls HiTower® Mortise Locks are commonly used within a stairwell where ingress to specific floors is prohibited for security purposes, however during an emergency and power is removed from the building, ingress would be permitted depending on state/county fire codes. Egress is always permitted with or without power to the lock. Often placed where the use of an electric strike and magnetic lock are prohibited.
