Commonly used within stairwell doors, the HiTower® Mortise Locks provide security to floors where access is not permitted during normal operation. In the event of an emergency situation, the HiTower locks provide egress to the stairwells, and if state/county fire code permits it would allow ingress. The HiTower Mortise Locks will always provide egress with or without power. Often placed where the use of an electric strike and magnetic lock are prohibited.
