Question
:

What are frame anchors?

Answer:
In short, frame anchors are metal devices that are used to connect or fasten a hollow metal door frame to a wall. The type of anchor is usually selected based on the wall conditions. For example, a frame installed in a finished drywall opening would use compression anchors and a frame being installed during the drywall construction would use stud anchors or z-anchors. It is always a good idea to verify wall conditions before installing a hollow metal frame so that the proper anchors are supplied.
