Question:

A customer has a single stall restroom that they want to add an ADA compliant restroom door operator with the ability to actuate a privacy mode to disable the operator while the washroom is occupied.  What can I offer as a solution?

Answer:

We have the low-energy door operator, then add a “restroom” control package that consists of a logic control board, a push to lock actuator, a push to open actuator with signage “Occupied” when RED and “Vacant” when Green and a door contact.  This will connect with the control module in the operator to allow the privacy function, sync with the electric strike and the operator.  Please contact your IDN Branch for additional information.
