Ask the Experts | Ask the Electronic Access Ace

My customer has a REX Sensor for a magnetic lock on a door in a hallway. As employees pass, the REX sensor releases incorrectly on the door. I’ve tried to adjust the depth and width of the beam but to no avail. What do you suggest?

If you’ve made all of the adjustments possible in the sensor, I would take a look at a new sensor. We like the sensors that do not reach the floor because they can be triggered easily by sliding a piece of paper under the door to provide access. A solution is the BEA R2E-100 sensor. The pattern is only projected in front of and above the door hardware to eliminate circumvented and accidental release.
