X-Ray Room Door Specifications

Question:
I have a customer who works in a medical building where there are some worn and abused doors that lead into a handful of our X-Ray rooms. Is there a special type of door that we would need to replace these?

Answer:
Yes, the door would need to be what is called “lead lined”. The frame would need to be lead lined as well. The outward appearance of the door is the same as a typical door, except on wood doors, where you will see a thin layer of lead on the edge of the door.
